Kikuya- Located right in the heart of the Santa Croce neighborhood, Kikuya is the oldest English pub in Florence and, despite the typically Italian terracotta floors and stone ceiling, sports a decidedly English feel.
Clean and simple, the bar features English football banners on the walls, small wood tables and stools, and a selection of first-rate beers. A large bar dominates the front room, while a dimly-lit back room is home to small tables and benches with red velvet cushions that create a cozy, living-room atmosphere.
Popular with a welcoming and sociable crowd of young professionals and local students, Kikuya provides a homey environment perfect for a mellow night of conversation or – when there’s a good English football match to be had – a rousing night among the passionate fans.
And what’s more, Happy Hour doesn’t end until 10pm, which makes Kikuya a great place to enjoy an affordable night out or a few pints before heading to one of the nearby discos.

Great student bar. And even better student prices. Would definitely recommend to any 18-25year olds.
At Naima there is hardcore drinking with Sergio and great music. In this very well designed bar with a side area for chilling and drinking away from the rest of the chaos and then another few set of tables along the main bar by admittedly you won't want to sit down at Naima as its all about drinking and moving on repeat.
Sergio and his team have been so useful to me helping me figure out where to eat as a new student in Florence, where to go clubbing in Florence, and on which days so that everything is fun for me and my friends. It is this reasoning that I have concluded Naima to be the best student bar in Florence and also why I will coming back 3 days a week.
